Distinct Engineering Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is a multidisciplinary civil engineering firm, providing engineering design and consulting services in the disciplines of Geotechnical, Environmental, Site-Civil, Construction Engineering, and Environmental Consulting. DESI provides services for both public and private sector clients throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the New York Metropolitan area from our main office in North Brunswick, New Jersey and satellite offices in New York & Connecticut. Our AASHTO accredited & NYSDOB approved material testing laboratory is located in NJ.

Founded in 2008, DESI employs individuals who possess strong academic qualifications and practical experience. In order to best serve our clients, DESI approaches project issues collaboratively, with a combination of innovation, knowledge, and skill, to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Our professional staff is supported by field personnel who possess a clear understanding of both the technical aspects of design and the practical aspects of construction.

DESI has provided professional services to projects of varying magnitude and complexity. DESI applies the same degree of professionalism and interest to all projects, regardless of size and scope. DESI provides design and engineering services that combine technical knowledge, practical experience, and professional judgment in resolving challenging design and construction issues. PERSONNEL

DESI employs over 30 staff, many of whom are licensed Professional Engineers. For each project, employees are organized into self-contained project teams led by a DESI senior manager. This permits DESI to be flexible in allocating manpower while maintaining the highest level of professional standards. DESI’s President is responsible for and actively involved in all projects, from start to completion. We encourage our employees to stay abreast of the latest technological developments in their respective fields, and support them with training that is among the highest in the industry. DESI staff holds degrees in engineering, geology, hydrogeology and environmental science, and includes a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP). We ensure that our professionals are trained in the health and safety aspects required to work on construction and remediation sites.

QUALITY CONTROL AND ASSURANCE

Construction techniques, materials, and equipment are continually becoming more sophisticated due to the complexity of modern projects and the use of marginal land. DESI provides effective project Quality Control and Quality Assurance by understanding both the technical aspects of design and the practical limitations of construction. DESI’s experienced professional personnel provide the client with first rate deliverables, total project coordination, and full control of costs and schedules throughout the project’s life cycle.

COMPUTER SOFTWARE CAPABILITIES

DESI has commitment to be a technology leader by implementing forward-thinking methodologies, such as the paperless office, network-based fax capabilities from the desktop, a complete online digital library, an ever-growing extranet to improve collaboration between our staff and our clients, an array of discipline-specific engineering applications including geotechnical analyses, hydrogeological design, and a complete suite of Computer-Aided Design packages.
